Currently, you can add MetaData to the Notes Field Type and these categories can be custom defined in the "Data Maintenance For NoteType" page. This is great for categorizing your Notes as different types. That way you can jot down all "Compliance" Notes, or "Shipping Notes", or Notes created from "Emails", etc. The issue is that, as of this release, there is no mechanism in which to search Notes based on this parameter, even though it allows you to customize and select this field.... I think this was an oversight on their end and hope this is something that can be "updated" or "fixed" relatively quickly.
