Introducing Cetec ERP 2.6 - Sept 21st, 2018

It looks like Cetec ERP will be releasing version 2.6 in a couple of weeks.  Here's the scoop on what's coming up:

New Release 2.6

Important Updates

- Improved Financial Statements (Profit/Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Cash Flows)
    - New “Total Balance” columns to automatically summarize child account values
    - Dropdown features to P&L and Balance Sheet to expand/compress accounts.

- Speed ups on quote and order entry screens:
    - Bypass churning through subassembly data when viewing quote and order entry
        screens; create subassembly order entry worksheets only when you need them.
    - Enable via config setting “Skip Creating Sub Assembly Worksheets On Quote Line By
        Default”

-Dynamic work order and purchase order planning tools to slice through multi-level
BOM/build material dependencies for a single customer order.
    -Quickly analyze any shortage of material or subassembly across an entire product
    tree for a single parent order.
    -Quickly respond to those shortages with automatic attachment of POs and or
    sub-work-orders to address those needs on the fly.
    -Useful for custom engineered projects with large complexity through build
    process.

-Two factor authentication
    -This can work using a second TOTP password (e.g. like the Google Authenticator,
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Authenticator). At login, if the user has
    enabled 2 factor authentication, after providing username/password, the two
    factor key will also be required.
    - Admin users can turn this on for the whole company (and exempt certain users
    from the feature), or individual users can enable it for their account.

- Add ability to associate charge orders to serials from the top level serials list. Used for tracking
warranty and service plan labor.

- Added ability to search the ledger by the current ledger ID -or- the original entry ID.

- Add serials to the PDF of an RMA.

- Add ‘FOB’ and ‘Credit Terms Code’ columns for ‘Release to Pick Queue’ list.

        Part Revision and Part Revision Definition

        Search by any column for part
        POS Commission

-Add worker pool to cetec_reboot_web_load_data and cetec_reboot_web_new_columns

-View/add notes on vendor portal quotes

- Add http method tracking (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) to usage stats to make it easier to filter
requests that actually changed data

-Add config seed as a unified way to set config value descriptions and defaults rather than
everywhere you call db_get

-Add BOM inventory usage report to help better locate widely used inventory (and value tied
up in that inventory) versus narrowly used inventory (and value tied up in that inventory)

-Add tab to part record that shows RMA lines containing prcpart in question

-Add lines to a vendor return after creation

-Hide vendor bank info from users with vendor edit roles with role "Block Vendor Bank Info"

-Add purchase UOM field on parts in order to default selection of UOM on vendor pQuotes/POs
and on conversion of line add from MRP. Formerly, unit of measure (UOM) could only be stored
at part master level to define default part UOM; now, part UOM defaults may be further specified
on the purchase level.

-Lock (make uneditable) order specific BOMs from that part's edit page with exception of users
with the role "Can Edit Locked BOM,”admin, manager, engineer users.

-Block admin, engineers, and managers from editing locked BOMs locked at the part level with a
role called "Block Edit Locked BOM"

-Add voucher splits report to list/aggregate all voucher splits

-Add ability to import component UOM on BOM import

-Add charge lines to invoices as well as edit/delete quantity/part of existing charge lines

-Improved issues with bounced/blocked emails

-Add notification rules table

-Enhanced fullscreen BOM tree view with proper sizing

-Add note type to notes list

-Add comments search to notes list

-Add ‘Total’ to PO list

-Add currency to PO line amount columns

-Add Config setting ‘Mandatory Quote Contact’ to make quote contact field mandatory

-Block editing of LNAME values where value exists

-Consider the Quote_Default_Ship_Date_Adder / Quote_Default_Promise_Date_Adder values
in Config settings if no date is provided when adding Quoteline

-Alert users to tools not shown on a part if they are inactive

-Propagate active ECO requirement types to existing ECOs upon update

-Speed up editing of BOM Quote through AJAX
