We'd like to track whether or not vendors we deal with are ITAR-compliant and/or have Quality Certifications like ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016. Within CETEC, you can customize the Vendor Interface to add these fields in the Vendor Database *and* make them searchable. So Cool !! So the first thing you'll want to do is go to the Admin --> Maintenance --> Bonus Columns Screen. From there, select Vendor from the very bottom of the list. There are 12 other screens in which you can add fields! So, Now you'll want to click the "Add New" button on the far right and complete as shown below. In my case, i'm setting up the Vendor info with 2 more Checkboxes: One for ITAR compliance and another for Quality Compliance. When you're done, the Vendor Bonus Column table should look like the following: Note: If you want these fields searchable in the Vendor Search list, the check the "Searchable?" box. See 3rd screenshot below. When you go to the vendor page, you'll now see the two new fields you added. Then when you edit the Vendor, you can, in this case, Check the box as applicable. Then when you do a Vendor Search, you can search these two fields. To close the loop with Compliance to certifications, I would either go and find the actual Quality Cert and attach the document to the Vendor's Document repository, ~or~ create a Vendor Note that links to the Vendor's website relating to the Quality Certification. That way it is easy to find the necessary compliance documents come audit season.
